About

This site is the result of an ongoing evolutionary process and is a collection of many of the experiences we have had in our Boomer careers (that’s where the name came from).

Get your boomer on . . . you’re just getting started!

We have been pleased to have guests on our television and radio talk shows who have shared valuable information, thought-provoking views, and tips for success in business and life. Among other things recently, we were regaled about the perils of traveling tomatoes; you’ll want to hear more, of course!

Archived topics so far run the gamut and include: business success, including ways to leverage networks and strategies for riding out a tough economy; compelling arguments for buying local Arizona products and services (think TOMATOES); and tax information from an enrolled agent (did you know the mileage deduction was raised to 58.5 cents a mile on July 1, 2008?).

And remember . . . at 50, you’re just getting started!

Please enjoy Infinity Magazine, one of our major radio sponsors. We are pleased to occupy the inside front cover of this outstanding publication.

The Boomer and The Babe Show is directed to the 50 plus market, with a particular emphasis on the active, healthy, working and vibrant boomer lifestyle. The co-hosts of the show, Pete Peters and Deborah Brown, are boomers themselves and feel like they know as well as anyone else what boomers want to hear about. That sounds about right for a couple of boomers, doesn’t it?

On The Boomer and The Babe Show we cover such boomer-directed topics as grandparenting, travel, health, money and all the cool things that boomers can (and DO) partake of in retirement and on the way to retirement.

We also talk about the wrenches that were thrown into the gears as we thought we were cruising into the Golden Years, and many of us have had to rearrange our plans and processes. As Melle Amade of The Festival of the Wise says, this is a great time for reinventing ourselves and reimagining our lives.

Below is a two-part radio interview with Bonnee Gruber, interior designer and owner of Taggywail, Inc., discussing retirement and UNretirement, and why UNretirement can be so much more enjoyable!
