Kathleen Lawrence, aka Grannie Gator-Head, recently swam her 50th mile while balancing a Gatorade bottle on her head. Why would a 65-year-old woman do such a thing? Because she can! She has combined two great gifts, her athletic body and her big heart, to bring awareness to pool safety and drowning prevention. She teaches kids of all ages about focus, concentration and self-esteem as she shares the Gatorade bottle balancing experience with them. Go to to keep up with Kathleen’s quest to finish100 miles and save lives along the way. She told us that we saved a life (or many lives) today by raising awareness for drowning prevention.  So did she! Go Grannie Gator-Head!

The last 60 minutes of our 90-minute show are spent with one of our favorites – Matt Bunk of the Arizona Capitol Times. We discuss the new look of the publication and website (awesome!) and fun stuff going on in the Arizona legislature.  Yes, it can be and IS fun stuff.
