The Festival of the Wise is finally here! We have been looking forward to this two-day event celebrating all things boomer. We’ve been telling you about it for a couple of months now, and hope you’re planning to be there the 6th and 7th of December from 10AM to 5PM.  You can buy and print your tickets online: just click on the Festival of the Wise ad to the right.

In this show we have three guests: 1) Festival of the Wise founder, Melle Amade, giving last-minute enticements to show up (music, fashion, speakers, food, etc.); 2) Matt Thornhill of The Boomer Project with insights into miracles, frugality and other boomer-related topics; and 3) Bill Parker, founder and owner of EcoSynch, talking about sustainability (green!).

Pathways to Wisdom Inaugural Show

Our first Pathways to Wisdom Show featured three of our favorite guests. Melle Amade of Festival of the Wise gave an update of the December 6, 7 Boomer event coming to Scottsdale; Suzette Brown discussed taking the leap to business ownership and her own services for legal document preparation; and David Isaac gave amazing information about working with and through limiting self-talk and beliefs to achieve one’s highest and best self. Enjoy!

Boomer talk radio hits the airwaves on a new day and time

Posted on October 6, 2008. Filed under: Boomer Interests | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , |

We’ve moved! Starting Saturday the 11th of October, you can listen to The Boomer and The Babe Show LIVE from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM every Saturday night. We can also be heard via the station website at the appointed time. Log on to www.1100kfnx.com if you want to listen via your computer. Some of you will find this new day and time very convenient — we definitely will. And if it’s date night . . . make it work!

For those of you outside Arizona, remember that Arizona doesn’t participate in daylight savings time. For the time being, 7:00 PM Arizona time is 10:00 PM Eastern.

Saturday’s show will feature Matt Bunk, managing editor of the Arizona Capitol Times. Without taking sides, we’ll be exploring the ramifications of a yes or no vote on Proposition 101, the Medical Choice Initiative. This proposition would affect just about everyone on Medicare, so we’d better get the facts straight before we blow this vote!

We will also chat with Melle Amade, co-founder of Festival of the Wise. You can click on the ad located on the right-hand side of this post to go to the Festival of the Wise website. It’s chock-full of information about all the ways you can “get your boomer on” with thousands of other boomers.

Melle will entice us with updates on events planned for the inaugural festival making its debut on December 6 and 7 at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. If you’re a baby boomer, aptly also a member of The Wise, you’ll want to be on hand for the music, fun and thought-provoking breakout sessions. Matt Thornhill, founder of the Boomer Project and co-author of The Boomer Consumer, will be appearing on the Atrium Stage. In our role as emcees of the Atrium Stage, Pete and I will be introducing Matt and all the other remarkable thought leaders and talent assembled for the two days.

Thanks for checking in. We have other news to share about exciting programs we are planning for our radio show and other media.
